As the end of the year draws closer – so does our Christmas shutdown… However, we have just taken delivery of some new vehicles as part of our fleet modernisation goals. Resulting in a more environmentally friendly fleet!

We have just received a further two brand new Scania skip lorries at our Hoddesdon depot. Bringing the total number of vehicles based at this site to 5.

The first vehicle obtained is a single slip lorry. A 71 plate Scania P320XT. This enables us to provide additional scrap metal collection services to customers that have a more restricted access due to this model’s tighter turning circle.

The second vehicle is a double skip lorry. A 71 plate Scania P410XT. This lorry allows us to be more efficient with route planning. We can now exchange more skips on the same route, bringing quicker service to customers.

This also helps to reduce our carbon footprint. We are also planning to reduce our carbon footprint by upgrading older vehicles to a more fuel effective and environmentally friendly fleet. All this to ensure we help play our part in reducing the impacts of climate change.
